Softstar Dash RunAmoc Running Shoes Review
*I bought these shoes with my own money and Softstar did not pay me to write this review.
Softstar makes their shoes by hand at Softstar.com
Cost: $130+
Sizing: I usually wear a size 9 or 9.5 in women’s shoes and I ordered an 8U in Softstar’s Sizing
Pros:
- Handmade in the USA by a small business
- The material is leather and excellent quality
- Softstar Dash RunAmoc comes in regular, wide and narrow widths (I ordered the regular width and the toe box gives me plenty of room for my toes to wiggle)
- The shoes are lightweight, flexible, zero drop and would be easy to pack for traveling
- You can customize the shoes and create hundreds of color combinations
- Softstar has excellent customer service and even lets you return/exchange custom created shoes
- I ordered the bullhide leather bottom to get the maximum ground feel
Cons:
- The back of the shoe comes up higher than I am used to
- The toe of the shoes started to scuff and show some wear quickly
- On the inside of the shoe, I can feel some of the seams on my feet, but I am hoping I get used to it
- I walk on pavement and hard concrete more than grass or dirt and I would like a bit more cushion (Softstar Dash RunAmocs would be perfect for walking or running on natural trails)- I can feel every small pebble on my paved neighborhood walks
- The price is high and I am hoping these last longer than a year of regular wear
